The "Silent partner" status is a special status that exists under German law, that gives an investor the status of a minority investor in a company, on which the company's creditors will have no claim if the company fails to honour its debts. This status is qualified as atypical if the minority investor is given additional rights, such as voting rights, and/or responsibilities, such as liaility for a Share of any losses incurred by the company.
